MUTT is an all inclusive term to describe dogs of all different breeds, ages, sizes and personalities who are members of the Metro Mutts family.  Being a part of our clan entitles your Mutt to exceptional care and endless amounts of love and attention. 
 
WHY METRO MUTTS? All of our walking services are designed to provide enjoyable outings for the Mutts in your household.  For safety reasons we don't take your Mutts on group walks or let them off leash at anytime.   What we do give them is lots of one on one attention and opportunities to practice good manners.  Your Mutt will enjoy being the center of attention and you will like all the details we can provide about your Mutt since they will not be part of a large pack.  Our Mutt Diary will summarize your Mutt's manners progress, mood, bathroom habits, appetite and anything else relevant that took place while we were together.  You will feel like you were there without doing any of the work!  Of course we know many customers have Multiple Mutt families and we will gladly walk your Mutts together if that is part of your regular routine.  During morning, evening and weekend visits we are also glad to provide small courtesy services such as bringing in mail, watering plants and adjusting lights or thermostats upon request.

SERVICE AREA - Metro Mutts offers dog walking and pet sitting in the greater Capitol Hill area.  Our boundaries are Florida Avenue/Benning Road to the north, M Street to the south, 21st Street to the east and 1st Street to the west.  However we can provide service for clients who live adjacent to this area on a case by case basis including SW, so please contact us for more details.

                                                   Midday Dog Walking Packages (Updated as of 8/1/2011)

Metro Mutts packages are a great way for midday dog walking customers who frequently use our service to save money! Visits can be applied to M-F midday service only(10am-4pm) with the exception of the mixed package.  This package is designed for midday walking customers who also need regular service in morning, evenings or weekends. All promotional packages must be fully paid in advance, and the visits will expire 3 months from purchase date.  Prices reflect the per visit rate for a single dog so a $5 fee for each extra dog does apply.

MUTT MIDDAYS - 30 minutes $18 per visit
Midday walks are the perfect service for Mutts that are alone during a typical 9am-5pm workday and need their own escape from the daily grind.  We will get your Mutt out of the house for an enjoyable stroll through the neighborhood and finish off with light refreshments (better known as fresh water and a treat) back at your home.  If instructed we can also feed your Mutt lunch, or refill a Kong or treat dispensing toy to keep your Mutt busy after we leave.  Since everyone's schedule is a little different, Mutt Middays are conveniently offered in two different time windows - 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm.  You will choose a window when making a reservation, and if you have a more specific time preference let us know so we can do our best to accommodate it.
 
MUTT BREAKS - Two 15 minute visits  $25 per daily package
This is the ideal package for puppies, newly adopted mutts that are still being housetrained or acclimated to a crate, and seniors who just can't hold it like they used to.  Mischievous Mutts who need a little extra supervision during the day may also benefit from this arrangement.  These walks always occur on the same day, take place between 10am and 4pm, and must be scheduled at least 3 hours apart.
 
MUTT RISE & SHINE - 30 minutes $20 per visit
AM walks conducted between 6am-9am that enable your Mutt to get out for their morning exercise buzz (no coffee needed!)  If your Mutt needs to eat breakfast or receive medication, let us know and we will take care of that too.  Perfect for Mutt parents who want to leave the doggie duties to us on days they have to get into work early or are out of town.
 
MUTT HAPPY HOUR - 30 minutes $20 per visit
PM walks conducted between 5pm-8pm to get your Mutt out to take care of their after hours business and burn off a little energy before settling in for the night.  Let us know if the evening festivities include feeding dinner or giving medication.  Mutt parents who are away, working late or want to indulge in some happy hour time themselves will find this service very convenient.

MUTT WEEKEND WALKS -30 minutes $20 per visit
Weekend walks are available for your Mutt between the hours of 6am-8pm so let us know what times you need and whether of not a feeding is included when scheduling.
 
MUTT MULTIPLES - $5 per additional dog
 
MUTT CONSULT - $10 one time fee
All new customers will be required to fill out a dog walking or pet sitting profile online before starting service.  We will then come to your house to review all of your information, get and test your keys and of course meet you and your Mutt before the walks begin.
 
CAT SITS - 30 minutes $20 per visit
We love the kitties too! During these visits we will feed, give fresh water, scoop the litter box and provide your cat with some TLC.  Let us know if your feline family member likes to play, get brushed or just spend time on your lap getting affection.  Up to 3 cats are included in this rate and the visits can be conducted in either the morning or the evening so please specify your preference when making a reservation.
